Healthifying my lifestyle...

So now with two kids in tow, I'm really trying to eat more healthfully and make important changes in my/our lives so that I have more energy to keep up with these little guys. So far it's been a few days and I can definitely feel a difference in my body. I am getting in more protein, which has always been a difficult thing for me to do.

We've got our garden started up over at my grandma's place and I think that will help contribute to these changes we're making. I absolutely love fresh vegetables so I think that will really enhance the efforts I am currently making.

We are moving toward eating more lean proteins, lots of fish, and veggies. As a total carb addict I know I'll never completely eliminate some things, but like they say.... everything in moderation, right?

Yeah... So, I'm back!

Well, I'm finally feeling like I'm getting my life a little bit more in control, one minute at a time, one day at a time. The new apartment is still a mess, but hey, with two under two, at least I worry about keeping it sanitary! I am working through getting this mess straightened. Downsizing to an apartment has been a real reality check on what we can keep in our home. We need to continue to get rid of things and we are, slowly but surely. Craigslist has seen some new postings lately. I did find out a friend of my cousin's is expecting an unexpected baby this coming December so we'll be hanging on to a few baby things to give to them once Luke grows out of them.

Anyway, I've been trying to get more crafty again lately and am slowly but surely getting myself out of the slump I slipped into. It feels good to be more active and also get our life situated. Right now, I'm taking baby steps on getting things organized so I don't get overwhelmed and just give up. Hopefully, this approach works for me!

Hospital Time

So.... I'm a terrible blogger. LOL. I suppose I could give it up but I'm going to continue working on it for now. I'm in the hospital now for my preeclampsia until 37 weeks, or if anything happens that makes it important to deliver earlier. Luke seems to be suffering a bit from the stress of my blood pressure being elevated, but it's not bad enough to deliver him yet. So...... that leaves 24 days until I will likely be induced. I'm really nervous about being induced again, but I really don't get a choice. After 37 weeks, the pre-e becomes too risky for both of us so he has to come out at that point. For now, he is better off inside. I'm hoping it stays that way until we reach that 37 week mark.

Just a post!

Yeah.... so, I'm terrible about blogging. Perhaps I should just give it up? Meh, I'll try to post more frequently... I do have some excuses, though. Aiden and I took a trip in July and had a great time. It was lovely to spend time with family, though we wished Brandon had been with us.

Other than that I've been working on my Medical Transcription course like a crazy woman. I'm getting through the course well-- currently working on the 7th session. I have been doing the course for 2 full months, and I'm in the 7th month of it, so I'm pretty pleased with my progress. My GPA is right at about 97%, so that is good as well.

I also recently became a consultant for Tastefully Simple. I know, did I really need more on my plate? But, seriously, the food is so good and the opportunity was so simple, I couldn't pass it up. It's already been profitable for me, and I've been working on it just a couple of weeks. You can check out my website here: http://www.tastefullysimple.com/web/nrobichaux .

Today, I'm working on my course then a friend is coming over for pizza. :) Should be a nice day!
